Jesse had the monster day with 175 combined yards and 2 TDs. Had Cain been able to pitch the ball backwards on his last pick, Jesse would have had another TD as well. Next we had Nick with 9 grabs for 138 yards, a TD and 5 first down. Chad and Curtis each had over 100 yards as well (with Curtis getting 2 TDs and 3 first downs on his 7 catches) and Canadian hit 95 yards.

Pick-sixes are rare - 2 pick-sixes are rarer still but Chad and Street each had one this week. Street also had 2 defensed passes (including a big one that saved a TD). Adam was the leading receiver this week with 110 yards on 5 catches that went for 2 TDs and 3 first downs. Next was Zieser with 104 yards a TD and 4 first downs on his 5 catches. cain had 85 yards for 3 first downs on 6 catches. Anthony had another good outing in his second game with 6 catches for 79 yards and 3 first downs. Defensively, Matta probably had the biggest day with 4 sacks and a pressure. Canadian also had a big day with 2 picks, a defensed pass, and a QB pressure. Nick had a pick a sack and a pressure. Day had a sack and 2 pressures. Curtis had a sack and a defensed pass. Anthony and Jesse each had 2 defensed passes and Jesse led with 9 flags. Barry had 4 passes defensed. Treadaway had a pick and a defensed pass. Street had 2 defensed passes and a half-pressure. Mark got 3 pressures but the number is misleading since I count half pressures and add the results up and Mark had 2 half pressures so that's 4 plays he got notable pressure on the QB. Chenault, however, was the day's pressure leader (well, second leader since pressure doesn't get bigger than sacks - other than Safeties) with 4. Adam had the week's lone safety. Barry was served as a big source of frustration for Nick with 4 defensed passes.

Awards:

MVP this week goes to Street. Adam and Street were the main nominees for the award this week and while this was Adam's best game of the season, Street had over 50% completion rate and passed for over 500 yards (again, discounting the yards lost due to sacks). That >50% completion rate is more impressive when you consider than he had 2 balls dropped and 8 sacks. Take those 10 plays out of the mix and you have a 60% completion rate. He also threw TDs to 4 different receivers and ran for one.

BTW, I think this makes Street the only player to win the award for 3 consecutive weeks. Mark - I expect you to turn your shirt and cape over to Street when you next come out. : )

Leading receiver was Leo with 5 catches for 98 yards, a 1st down, and a TD. Next was Cole with 73 yards and two 1st downs on his 2 catches. Barry had 67 yards and a TD and a 1st down. Then we had Treadawy with 4 catches on 5 targets for 57 yards a TD and two 1st downs - Treadaway has only been back a few weeks and he's becoming a real factor. Adam, Burleson, and Day had TDs as well.

In terms of fantasy points, Adam and Jesse were tied. Adam had 3 sacks and 5 pressures (2 of which led to picks). Jesse had 4 passes defensed (all on drives where Yellow did not go on to score, 2 of which were actually on 4th down) and a pick. Cole had 2 picks and a defensed pass. MVP - Street gets it for the second week in a row with solid play at both QB and on defense.

Offensive Player of the Game - Leo.

Defensive Player of the Game - Very tough. As noted, Adam and Jesse were tied on fantasy points and each made big plays that had a lot to do with their team's victory. This would have been a lot easier if Adam hadn't dropped 2 balls that likely would have been TDs. Had he made the catches, he would have been MVP and Jesse would have gotten the Defensive Player of the Game award. However, after some additional analysis, the award goes to Adam. A defensed pass is a loss of down which is good. A sack is a loss of down plus lost yards and pressures are not unlike defensed passes in that they lead to an incompletion.
