Week 14 Game Summary - The good news is that I think I was much more able to record details of plays. The bad news is that I did such a good job recording the details that I used up all the memory with about 6 possessions left to play. I changed the settings on the device so that I could get up to 90 minutes of recording which should be enough if I'm feeling particularly verbose in the future. I still need to do a better job recording the flags.

So on to the game: It was a cool and overcast morning. Temperatures in the upper 40s and lower 50s with a pretty steady wind from North to South for most of the game. We had 13 players including two first timers: Casey and Jared.

Teams at start:

Red: Casey, Jared, Rich, Ty, Chi, & Joe.
Yellow: Brian Zieser, Erik, Patrick, Jason Brecht, Paul, Matt Day, & Adam (Yellow subbing).

Yellow Drive 1 - Brian Zieser QB:
1-15 from the 10: TE Run with a pulling guard from Left to Right. Erik takes it 17 yards for a 1st down. Jared on the flag. This play is hereafter referred to as the Z-Run.

1-23 from the 27: Double slot receives crossing. Erik catches the ball for 10 yards and then takes it another 38 yards for a TD.

Red Drive 1 - Jared QB:
1-15 from the 10: 5 Yard out to Casey from TE spot incomplete.
2-15: Long post pattern thrown incomplete, didn't get to who
3-15: Safety by Patrick.

Yellow Drive 2 - Zeiser QB:
1-15 from the 10: Good pressure by Casey with the linemen crossing. Zeiser avoids the pressure rolling right and throws long to Paul on a post pattern that's double covered.
2-15: 8 Yard out route to Patrick thrown wide incomplete.
3-15: 14 yard out completion to Paul. Jared on the flag.
4-1: Paul running the Z Run 17 Yards for a first down. Jarad on the flag.

1-9 from the 34: 5 Yard crossing pattern to Patrick defensed by Rich on a nice defensive play.

Yellow Drive 3 - Zieser QB:
1-25 from the 25: Busted play. Zeiser scrambling left then right and overthrowing Erik.
2-25: Low throw to Matt incomplete about 8 yards up the field.
3-25: Good pressure, overthrowing Brecht on a 15 yard cross and go route.

Red Drive 3 - Joe QB:
1-10 from the 15: Post Route to Casey overthrown.
2-10: 10 Yard Cross slightly overthrown Intercepted by Paul who takes it up the left sideline and then crosses the entire field before turning it back up and scoring.

Red Drive 4 - Jared QB:
1-15 from the 10: Collision between Ty and Adam leaves Joe standing as open as a Kansas State Receiver for a 12 yard catch and 8 yards YAC for a first down. Didn't get who had the flag.

1-20 from the 30: Thrown way down field into double coverage to Ty who was bracketed by Paul and Zieser. Paul tipped the ball incomplete.
-2-20: 7 Yard fade to Chi overthrown.
3-20: Out route Joe but play is busted and he takes it up the field where the ball is thrown pretty well but Joe is only just able to get his fingers on it.
4-20: Punt

Yellow Drive 5 - Zieser QB:
1-10 from the 15: Long throw to Paul, 30 yards in the air, but incomplete:
2-10: Good pressure and Zieser throws it away.
3-10: Defense brings 3 but Zieser gets 10 yard throw off to Brecht who takes it another 5 yards for a first down. Unknown flag.

1-20 from the 30: 8 Yard cross to Patrick with Joe on the stop
2-12: 15 cross to Brecht who then gets another 12. Ty on the stop.

1-Goal from the 10: Lot of pressure forces QB to left but the play had all three receivers running left. Paul pulls in a sideline, toe-dragging catch for a TD.

4.5-0, Yellow

Red Drive 5 - Joe QB:
1-15 from the 10: 10 Yard crossing route where both receivers and the defenders got tangled. Ball thrown incomplete underneath to Casey who was still trying to recover from the collision.

Rich's adductor tightened up so he sat out. Paul came in on Red. Remember this because it will matter next series.

2-15: Sack by Brecht for a 7 loss.
3-22: 10 Yard out route to Jared but overthrown.
4-22: Punt

Yellow Drive 6 - Erik QB:
1-10 from the 35: Good pressure but Erik got rid of the ball.
2-10: 5 Yard WR cross to Adam bouncing off his chest incomplete.
3-10: 8 Yard Z Run but I didn't get by who.
4-2: Turnaround pass to Matt dropped with Paul in after the ball was touched.

Red Drive 6 - Jared QB:
1-23 from the 27: 15 Yard Completion to Paul stop by Erik.
2-13: Thrown behind Ty underneath incomplete.
3-13: 9 Yard out to Chi who stepped out of bounds after the catch.
4-4: WR 12 cross with Ty underneath.

1-Goal from the 17: WR cross but ball was dropped (not sure who it was thrown to)
2-17: Cross and up play to Joe but great leaping defensive play by Erik prevented completion.
3-17: Trips play 2 deep 1 underneath with Joe standing alone for a 5 yard gain. Patrick on the flag.
4-12: Broken play with Paul scoring on a nice sliding catch.

Paul comes back to Yellow as Rich has worked out his strained leg.

Yellow Drive 7 - Erik QB:
1-15 from the 10: 10 yard up and fade to Adam but thrown a bit high and long due to miscommunication between QB and receiver.
2-15: Deep route to Paul (25 in air) but Jared was there and neither came down with it.
3-15: 6 yard in to Paul who went down immediately and was touched down.
4-16: Overthrown to Patrick deep. Turnover on Downs

Red Drive 7 - Jared QB:
1-Goal from the 16: Throw to Chi dropped.
2-16: Post Corner to Casey but thrown out of bounds
3-16: 2 Yard slot drag to Rich. Adam on the flag.
4-14: Broken play finally thrown out of the end zone.

Yellow Drive 8 - Erik QB:
1-11: Trips play 3 up the filed with Matt turning around at 5 but ball thrown low, incomplete.
2-11: Intended to be 10 yard turnaround to Adam but thrown high so caught at about 15, Ty makes a great stop.

1-21 from the 29: WR screen to Brecht incomplete
2-21: Chi had a 4 yard sack
3-25: Cuba Libre 3 Yard turnaround to Matt who pitches to Paul. Jared pulls Matt's flag but
after the pitch. Jared then shifts over and cuts Paul off. Paul had run 2 yards before being cut off. Paul pitches back to Matt who, despite missing a flag, is able to pick up enough blocks down field to score without being touched (important since with a missing flag all Red had to do was touch Matt down).

5.5 to 1, Yellow

Zeiser switches to Red so that Red players can start subbing out since all Yellow players had subbed at least once. Kind a fair thing to do if it doesn't unbalance the teams.

Red Drive 8 - Zeiser QB:
1-15 from the 10: 5 Yard out to Chi that was thrown so badly that it hit Brecht (Yellow) in the hands. It was an unbelieveable throw - it must have been because Brecht apparently didn't believe his eyes and dropped it.
2-15: 14 Yard long cross to Casey just short of the 1st down.
3-1: Crossing route to Ty for 5 yards with 5 yards YAC. Stop by Paul.

1-16 from the 34: Casey 10 Yard out incomplete. Erik on coverage.
2-16: 7 yard out to Joe defensed by Adam, incomplete.
3-16: 10 out to Ty thrown wide, incomplete.

1-9 from the 34: 4 Yard crossing play to Paul. Rich defensed the pass.
2-9: 11 yard cross to Erik who turns it the field to the 10 yard line. 13 YAC. Flag by Jared.

1-Goal from the 10: Rushed 4 and ball is thrown away.
2-10: Fade out to Paul overthown incomplete.
3-10: Thrown to Erik slanting underneath out of reach.
4-10: Erik underneath again but incomplete due to some strong coverage. Turnover on downs.

1-Goal from the 17: Beautiful throw over the shoulder, in stride to Erik for the TD.

Red Drive 10 - Zieser QB:
1-15 from the 10: Z-Run to Ty for 12 yards. Stop by Brecht.
2-3: 3 yard out route to Casey. Adam on the stop.

1-25 from the 25: Patrick has a 5 yard sack. Ball was thrown just after the flag and was intercepted by Erik but, to Paul's great relief, it did not count.
2-30: 10 Yard turnaround to Joe, incomplete
3-30: Ty in motion and then throw to Ty on a sliding out route for 6 yards.
4-24: Long to Ty but underthrown (Ty ran 40 yards but Zieser, under pressure, only got it out about 25 yards - Adam wondered why Paul and Erik weren't trying to kill each other to get a pick. Turnover on downs.

Yellow Drive 11 - Patrick QB:
1 and 1 from just over the 26: TE Cross Play ball thrown outside to Jason
2-1: Under pressure Patrick throws back across his body. Jared intercepts it. Erik has the stop.

Red Drive 11 - Zieser QB:
1-16 from the 34: WR fly to Jared but ball thrown out of bounds.
2-16: 3 yard underneath to Jared stop by Erik with 3 defenders in the area.
3-13: Twins left Ty and Chi with misscommunication on the route because both ran stop and go's but the ball was thrown low to the stop. Jason again nearly picks it but the Isotoner gloves he's wearing for warmth as too slick to do much in the way of catching.
4-13: 14 yard out to Jared touched down by Adam.

1-Goal from the 24: 9 completion
2-15: Intercepted by Matt and tackled by Zieser - note that I said "tackled".

Yellow Drive 12 - Erik QB
1-11 from the 14: Drag route to Paul incomplete
2-11: Erik steps up into pocket under pressure and completes 15 in the air to Paul who breaks 2 tackles and takes it up the field. 36 Yard Play. Ty on the stop.

1-Goal from the 22: 7 Completion to Patrick with Ty on stop.
2-15: Incomplete to Matt across the middle.
3-15: Long crossing out play to Matt good for 8 yards. Rich on the stop
4-7: Good pressure. Thrown to Patrick out of the back of the endzone. Turnover on downs.

Red Drive 12 - Jared QB
1-18 from the 7: 9 yard completion to Zeiser. Adam on stop.
2-9: Fly route to Zeiser but Paul came in from safety to knock it down.
3-9: Turnaround at line to Joe, incomplete.
4-9: 15 Yard out to Zieser with a pushoff on the cut. Stop by Matt.

1-19 from the 31: Crossing Route to Zieser but Erik picks him up on the cross and makes good defensive play.
2-19: Scrambling by Jared but 6 yard sack by Jason. Coverage sack.
3-19: Appears to have been a hook-n-ladder to Ty but the hook didn't catch the ball the and Adam stood in the lane in front of Ty to prevent the pitch (had it been caught).
4-19: Interception by Erik tackled (again) by Erik.

Yellow Drive 13 - Patrick QB:
1-10 from the 35: Brian Dainton's patented misdirection run. Brecht and Erik in the backfield. Fake hand-off to Brecht going right and then pitch to Erik going left. Erik moving up the sideline with Paul as his lead blocker and making the key block by turning around and picking up Jared who was closing from behind as Erik was making a cut towards the middle of the field and ultimately scoring.

7.5 to 1, Yellow

Red Drive 13 - Zieser QB:
1-15 from the 10: Broken Play 10 Yard complete to Jared touched down by Adam
2-5: 8 yard sack by Brecht
3-13: Erik drops what could have been an interception and then a touchdown had: 1) he caught it) and 2) Zieser not been across the line of scrimmage when he threw it.

Frustrating because Red did go on to score once more. I think we had 2 more possessions per side when I ran out of space on the recorder.

MVP was close with both Erik and Paul having massive games but I think Paul pulled it out for his outstanding play on Yellow and then his TD while on Red. He was valuable to both teams! : )

Week 15 Preview: Well UT is playing in that afternoon in the Insignificant Bowl in San Antonio. So I'm expecting our game to the more exciting of the two.

Week 13 Game Summary: Brought the recorder again and generally did a better job recording plays. I need to do a better job recording who gets the flags (other than me - strangely I seem to record those pretty good : ), especially on sacks and plays for losses.

Red: Josh, Cain, Ty, Chi, Chenault, Mike, 2 new players: Kyler and Chris (both of whom had nice debuts). Late Patrick joins

Yellow: Leo, Brian D, Mark, Barry, Rich, Matt, Louis, Brecht, and Adam. Joe joins later to bring it to 9 on 9 and then Erik joins (new player) about the time Brecht has to leave early.

Started game 8 on 8

1st Drive Red from the 10. Cain QB all day for Red
1-15: Up the middle run to Ty, dropped for a 2 yard loss. Mark got him, I think.
2-17: Lot of scrambling. Nearly stepping out of back of endzone but comes left and throws up the field incomplete about 15 yards - might have been throwing it away.
3-17: Scramble to the left, thrown way up the field to Ty who came out of the backfield. Ball traveled about 30 through the air but was overthrown.
4-17: Punt

1st Yellow Drive from the 27. 1 Cone to go. Leo QB
1-23: 9 Yard crossing route to Brian
2-12: 10 Yard cross to Brian which I scored as broken up play but he claims was a drop.
3-12: Out pattern to Brecht who just makes the 1st down in a very tight play.

1-25: Fly route to Brian into the endzone. Good pressure with Ty and Jason but Leo got off a great throw. Cain comes over from safety position and knocks it down. Without that play, it would likely have been a TD.
2-25: Lot of pressure. Scramble right and thrown incomplete. Would have been about a 4 yard gain to Rich.
3-25: Long fade route to Louis running to the left. Thrown a little long but Louis was open and had a great angle away from the defenders.
4-25: Lot of time for the QB. Thrown into the endzone to Rich and knocked down by Josh. Would have likely been a touchdown. Turnover on downs

2nd Red Drive starting just inches short of the 25.
1-inches: Cain fell while scrambling to his left and threw the ball away from his backside. Since he was out of the pocket and the ball made it to the line of scrimmage, it was a very heads up play.
2-inches: Cain runs for a loss of 2 yards. Didn't get the tackler
3-2: Cain runs for 4 yards. Adam with the stop.

1-23: Chenault runs short crossing route but ball was incomplete (can't tell if it was pressure, bad throw, drop, etc).
2-23: Cain runs 5 yards. Adam on the stop.
3-18: Trips play with Chenault coming underneath for a 15 yard gain.
4-3: Trips formation with a guy in the backfield. Underneath receiver crosses the field who misses the catch popping it up and picked by Adam who was down just shy of the cone.

2nd Yellow Drive from the 24 going long
1-1: 9 yard completion to Joe

1-17: Out route to the left to Barry thrown a bit outside. Would have been good for 15 .
2-17: 5 yard run by Leo
3-12: Incomplete on 12 yard out.

3rd Red Drive from the 5 going long
1-20: Cain ran for 12 yards
2-8: Thrown WAY up the field to Josh Ball traveled from about the 12 to the opposite 10 in the air. Leo picks it from the safety position and then has a nice 25 yard run back. Cain is showing some serious arm today. This was 53 in the air and probably only his second longest throw.

3rd Yellow Drive from mid-field
1-15: Odd screen to Louis, I think. Louis alone on the Right and 3 lineman were to be his screen. Unfortunately, the defender (Chris, I think) played him tight on the line so there was no room for the linemen to make space for Louis. 2 yard loss
2-17: Nice 10 yard out route to a wide open Matt but he caught the ball out of bounds.
3-17: Hard rush by 4 guys. Leo ran right and threw back across his body - normally a very dangerous thrown but he put it out where only Matt could make a play on it incomplete. Might have been a first down.
4-17: Punt

4th Red Drive from 5
1-20: Option play Cain to Chenault. Jason ran through Adam at about a 7 yard gain and then chugs way down the field for 53 yards. Adam finally gets a flag after chasing him down and fighting through a block by Ty way down the field.
1-Goal from the 20: Jump ball into the end zone with Louis picking it and taking the touchback

4th Yellow Drive from the 10
1-15: 15 Yard out to Adam dropped coming out of the sun. Would have been a completion plus yards from position of players (being behind defense on that side with room to turn up field).
2-15: Leo run to right for 4 yards
3-11: Great play by Chris to get into a throw to Mark that would have been a 1st down on an out.
4-11: Punt

5th Red Drive from the 21
1-4: Cain scrambles and then throws it away.
2-4: WR Cross with QB rolling right, throw right to out of bounds to Ty. Would have been a 4 yard completion.
3-4: Cain runs 4 for a first down.

1-25 (extra cone to go): Scrambling Cain throws about 40 in the air. Ty catches the ball between his knees and is down there.

1-Goal from the 10: 10 Yard run left by Cain for the score. Adam just missed him at the 5 coming from the other side of the field.

5th Yellow Drive from the 10
1-15: Long throw to Brian about 40 yards in the air and just out of his reach (18 inches - which isn't too bad on a 40 yarder).
2-15: Slant play to the left. Picked and run back to the 5. Adam on the stop. Missed recording who made the pick. I think it was Chris though. He really had a great game on defense.

6th Red Drive from the 5
1-5: 2 yard pass to Kyler.
2-3: Kyler TD on a long crossing play from right to left.

2-0, Red

6th Yellow Drive from the 10. Brian takes over as QB.
1-15: 10 yard out route that Chris broke up (his third pass defensed by my commentary at this point)
2-15: 10 Yard Post crossing under the Safety from Left to Right. Thrown a bit low but catchable and dropped by Adam. Would have been a first plus many yards given the position of the safety and the defender.
3-15: 3 Yard running play couldn't hear who ran it on my recorder (wind)
4-12: Punt

7th Red Drive from the 29
1-21: 7 Yard cross to Josh does a very nice job one handing it. Flag by Adam
2-14: Throw underneath to Ty. 5 yard loss by Adam.
3-19: Big play to Mike good for 31. I believe it was 10 in the air and the rest was YAC.

1-Goal from the 13: Cain run on delayed QB draw. 2 yard gain stop by Adam.
2-Goal from the 11: Cain run left for 1 yard gain with stop by Adam.
3-Goal from the 10: Roll right throw to endzone into triple coverage (well there were three yellow players there) Adam knocked it down but might should have had a pick. If not knocked down, Louis thought he would have had it for another pick.
4-Goal from the 10: 7 Yard gain on a trips play with Ty coming underneath. Leo on the stop. Turnover on downs.

7th Yellow Drive from the 3
1-22: 5 yard cross could touched by about 4 people. Could have been picked or caught. Final player with a chance to get it was Rich on yellow, I believe.
2-22: Out pattern to Matt for 13 yards
3-9: Completion for 10 yard gain on an out pattern to Eric

1-24: Out and up to Rich over thrown.
2-24: Cuba Libra to Matt at 10 yards way overthrown. Ladder was to be Mark. Would have been a nice play.
3-24: Ran same play to same players and got 23 yards on it.
4-1: Fake pitch left on a bootleg coming back right. Throwing right on a deep slant to Matt. Complete for 24 yards.

1-Goal at the 1: WR screen to Rich on the right (with Mark coming out to block from the line) or a trips play to Louis on the left but good pressure and Brian threw it away after rolling left and not seeing anything he liked.
2-1: Same play but this time thrown to the Rich on the right for a 5 yard loss.
3-6: Ugly crossing route incomplete (not sure who to)
4-6: Brian runs right and Chenault (coming from coverage and not the line) had a sack for a 9 yard loss. Turnover on downs.

8th Red Drive from the 15
1-10: Scramble by Cain throwing 35 Yards in the air to Chris. Louis coming flying over to flash his hands in front of Chris breaking his view of the ball and causing an incompletion.
2-10: Scramble right throwing 50 yards in the air. Diving full out horizontal is Kyler who can't reach it.
3-10: Cain rolls right and throws right at the line of scrimmage 40 Yards in the air but incomplete
4-10: Complete but stopped short of the first down by Leo, I think. Missed who caught the ball but I think it was Chris.

8th Yellow Drive from the 23
1-Goal from the 23: Brian runs a straight option play with Leo from the backfield. Fakes the pitch spins making 2 guys miss but only gains 2 yards.
2-Goal from the 21: Mark in motion from left to right on set takes the pitch and pulls up throwing to Leo down the field (while I think Ty was starting to get the flag). Kyler nearly makes a pick but drops the ball while trying to secure a catch (Ball hit hands above his head and he didn't get control or make a football move).
3-Goal from from the 21: Leo in motion from left to right on set, fake pitch. Throw Left to Barry 17-18 but out of bounds and incomplete.
4-Goal from the 21: Good protection. Ball thrown right on deep crossing route to Joe but overthrown for a turnover on downs.

9th Red Drive from the 21
1-4: Scrambling Cain tries to run left but ends up slipping while trying to Juke Adam and rolls forward for a two yard gain. Gets ups saying something like "I hate you" but smiling : )
2-2: Cain rolls to his right and Mark gets a 13 yard sack.
3-15: Bootleg left roll back and throw right deep to Josh who was pretty well covered. Would have been a first down.

9th Yellow Drive from the 25. Brian has to leave and Leo takes over at QB. Still 9 on 9.
1-25: 14 yard out to Eric
2-11: Rich in double coverage on a 27 yard play brings it in. Very much the nicest catch of the day.

1-Goal from the 16: yard Cross to Matt
2-Goal from the 8: Leo run to the right with Adam pulling from inside right of line to create the hole. TD.

10th Red Drive from the 10.
1-15: Slant crossing slot receivers. Ball completed to Chris for a 10 yard gain.
2-5: Chris runs a 5 yard cross. On the broken play comes back across getting the pass at about 7-8 yards and then bulls his way through Adam for another 7-8 yards where Leo gets the stop nonchalantly. 15 yard gain good for the 1st down.

1-15 from the 35: Quick WR cross to Chenault underneath would have been a 5 yard gain but Adam playing from LB stepped into it knocking it down.
2-15: Deep long throw after a broken play. 40 Yards in the air with Chris working hard to get to it but not able to bring it in.
3-15: Called hook-n-ladder from Chenault back to Cain but Matt played it perfectly and was in the pitch lane. Chenault turns up field for a 2 yard gain with Rich on the stop.

3-15: Deep long throw to Eric who was reasonably well covered. Ball lost in the sun.

This was a tough day to pick an MVP. We had a lot of outstanding performances. While lots of players had at least one very nice play (like Rich's catch), I was looking for players who had several big plays or were just in everything. While I thought I had a nice game with a pick , a knockdown to prevent a score, 9 flag pulls (6 or 7 on QB runs), and a 40ish yard run, but there was one easy drop that would have been for at least 20 yards and a first down and possibly a 65 yard touchdown. Also, I noticed that I did a better job noting when I got flags than when other people did (Next week I want to know who got every flag - tell me after the play) and didn't think it fair to give credit when the recording was biased that way. Finally, unless a performance is so dominating that it can't be denied, I tend to think the MVP should be on the winning team. Even if there wasn't bias in the recording, I doubt I would have been a contender (because of that ridiculous drop).

Three Red performance stood out to me as being outstanding: Chris, Ty, & Chenault. Chris had a couple nice catches including one with very good yards after catch and contact. The real key in my mind was that he played some great defense. He was in a ton of plays and knocked down or helped break up a bunch of them. Ty had two big catches for 92 yards and a TD (even though there were 2 other plays for losses totaling 7 yards) and had a pick on the play after Adam's big run had Yellow threatening to tie it up. Then there's Chenault. In addition to his big run (longest from scrimmage in the game), he had a sack that prevented Brian from scoring on a QB run that would have gotten Yellow's first score pretty early. He also had a couple of other other nice plays.

As you can imagine was a tough call and I honestly couldn't pick a single winner, especially since my recording still isn't good enough yet.

Week 14 Preview: Playing Xmas weekend. Dare I hope for an early present and have at least a small game to play?

Week 12 Summary - As an experiment I brought a voice recorder to the game and tried to record each play. I missed some but it was pretty good. So here it goes:

2-17: Broken play results in a 5 yard completion didn't record who got it.
3-12: 11 yard Completion to Burleson stopped just shy of the 1st down.
4-1: Scramble Cain threatening to run but flips it over the defenders while approaching the line of scrimmage. Ball caught by Patrick but he is stopped just shy of the first down. His center of mass (flag belt) was just short. I think Mark made the stop.

Yellow Drive 3 from the second cone
1-25: 5 Yard run by Barry
2-20: Missed recording the play but it went 10 yards
3-10: 10 Yard catch and 10 Yards after the catch resulting in a first down. Marcus had this one I think

1-15: Broken Play supposed to be QB Run but he pulled up and threw an ugly pass that the receiver (Barry or Mark, I think) had to knock down to prevent interception.
2-15: Leo runs 10 yards
3-5: Long shallow crossing play TD catch by Louis

Red Drive 4 from the 10
1-15: Catch for 5 yard gain, I think it was Rich
2-10: Brian 17 yards breaking 2 tackles and getting the first down

1-18: 10 Yard out thrown to Brian and Adam intercepts and returns it to just shy of the cone but is down because of a lost flag and contact with a Red player. This wasn't noted until after a pitch to Leo who got to pretty much the same spot on the field.

2-10: Supposed to be a run but turned into a throw to Mark. Cain made a nice play from Safety to nearly pick it but Mark broke it up. Had Cain not been there and it been caught, it would have been a 30 yard gain.
3-10: 23 Yard pass play but I missed who got it.

1-12: 10 Crossing pattern to Barry
2-2: Big completion to Adam for 15 but there was a question of whether it was caught in bounds. There was no disagreement on the spot but if you looked down the line in one direction it looked in bounds. If you looked down the line in the other direction, it looked out of bounds. Play was ruled a redo.
2-2: Play breaks down and Leo runs it 20 yards for a first down.

1-7: Dual Fade patterns Incomplete
2-7: 2 yards up the middle run by Adam
3-5: Broken play Adam calling for it in the endzone on a scramble back to the right dropped incomplete
4-5: TD Fade to Teo in the back corner of the endzone.

About this point, I lost continuity in my recordings. I'm not quite sure what happened but basically there were only about 2 more drives per team with Brian taking over as Red's QB. Yellow scored twice more (once by Louis and I didn't get the info on the final TD) and the game ended on a interception by Barry. Final score is Yellow over Red 5-1.

MVP - It kind of depends. Right now, I have Louis as MVP for 2 TDs and a pick. However, Barry had a pick, and a bunch of passes defensed. I know he also had one 1 TD. If he scored a second one (Remember, I don't know who had Yellow's 5th TD. If Barry had that second TD then I think Barry wins the MVP.

Week 13 Preview - Man I hope we have a game something like last week. I know the score was little lopsided but the game was closer than the score. As you can see by the big plays Red had, there were many times that they would very unfavorable down and distance and they'd pull a big play for 20+ yards. It was also great to get 3 new players out. Mike, Marcus, and Rich were all welcome players. I'm going to try to record the game again and do a better job identifying the players (especially on the other team - I think Mike probably got shorted some credit because I didn't get everything recorded). Not sure about transcription through. It took about 90 minutes to pull it together.

Week 11 Summary: Hmmmm. Lets see what I wrote in the preview last week:

"Well we had 7 on 7 on a holiday weekend so lets hope that bodes well for the next several weeks. I know that people have familial obligations and need to spend money to keep retailers in business but remember, stores are open in the afternoon and absence makes the heart grow fonder."

Now I turn back to Saturday morning, the day we were supposed to play our Week 11 game (note that I said "supposed to play"). Let me set it up. Its Saturday morning at 8:30. The temperature is about 50 degrees and partly cloudy. The air is dry and wind is minimal. In short, it is perfect for football.

I sit in my car. Next to me Brian is in his and Matt is in some SUV he stole. No one else is there. None of our maybes show up. We finally decide that we might as well throw the ball around a bit. Hope swells within me. Chenault has shown up. I walk up to his truck and take a step back to protect my cleats as he explains that he's been throwing up bourbon. With the lack of players there, he backs up and leaves. I go back out to the field to run around a bit.

A few minutes later Jimmy shows up. We're up to 4. I entertain thoughts of playing a little three on three scrimage after all, Brecht is one of our maybes and he never shows up close to on time. Those hopes are dashed as Jimmy paces for a few minutes and then leaves.

Shortly after that, Shay shows up and we're back up to 4. I curse Jimmy for leaving when we could have played 2 on 2 with an all time QB and work on some route running. 15 minutes later, we all give up and leave. So we go from 7 on 7 during a holiday weekend where many regulars were unavailable due to travel and injury to none. So sad. No Week 11 MVP.

Week 12 Preview: Dare I hope for an actual game this week? I'm in withdrawals already.
