9 on 9 rarely makes for a good passing day and our 4 QBs combined for only 26 completions out of 70 throws (with one drop) with 6 picks and were sacked a total of 5 times. Nick clearly fared the best with 4 TDs and a 46.67% completion rating (I'll have to see if this was the best QB performance in a big game this season - it was certainly pretty good).

Leo led with 63 combined yards (primarily on 2 runs). Derek was next with 55 and a TD. Then Chris had 50. Jimmy had the most catches 5 on 7 targets, though Chris was close with 4 of 6.

Leaders were Canadian with 2 pics and 3 flags, Nick with 2 defensed passes and a pick, Adam with a pass defensed and a safety, and Daniel who had 8 flags and a pick - he seemed to be everywhere on defense. Other picks went to Kuzi and Louis who also had a defensed pass. Derek had 2 defensed passes included a beauty he nearly picked away from Canadian. Chenault, Chris, Wags, Brian, and Michael each had a sack.

MVP: This was a little tough because Adam had a nice game and should have had much more getting open fairly often later in the game when Leo went to rush the QB. Plus a good game on offense and defense are always preferable in picking the MVP. However, by that standard, Nick deserves it. He wasn't as "on" as he normally is at QB but his defensive play was great and he was a difference-maker in his QB play. Maybe it was Red's pass protection that made the difference but where it's close, I'm certainly not going to award it to Adam and look biased. Adam went into this game wanting to play with Nick this week and he showed us why.

5 receivers with over 100 yards (again, it a short game)! Leading receiver was Cueva with 200 combined yards for 4 first downs and 2 TDs. Jesse was again Mr. Dependable with 8 catches of 9 passes for 198 yards and 3 TDs (along with 3 first downs). Next we have Derek with 190 yards for 4 first downs and 2 TDs (this is what cleats will do). Kuzi was next with 132 yards, a first and 2 TDs. Chris caught 6 of 7 targets for 104 yards, 3 first downs, and 2 TDs. Sub-100 yard but otherwise solid performances by Day and Adam as well. Adam didn't have much juice in the heat but had 3 catches of 3 targets and pitch on a Cuba Libre which he took 94 yards for 2 TDs and 2 first downs so all his time counted. Day had 60 yards for a TD and 1st down.

With all that offense, its hard to believe there was anything to highlight on defense. However, Derek led with a Pick-6 and a defensed pass, Antowine had the safety, Jesse had 3 defensed passes, Street had was flag leader with 8 and had 2 defensed passes, and Andre and Carlso each had a sack.

MVP: Derek and Jesse each had amazing games (and each had 43 fantasy points) but this week's award goes to Nick who had a 150.66 QB rating and would have likely put up 700 yards in a full length game. He also put complete many passes in very tight coverage putting the ball where only the receiver could get the ball. Normally those plays break 50/50 at best becasue fly routes are not high percentage plays even when coverage isn't tight but Nick was picking up most of these.

Big passing days for both QBs with each completing over 50% of their passes and with them combining for 12 TDs and over 800 Yards. Burleson had the better day however only throwing one pick. Nick did have a couple drops to deal with (one of which led to a pick by Jesse) and he had a hard time zoning in on Cueva's speed at first. A number of passes were behind him on crosses.

I'm not sure but I think Jesse had the greatest game in the history of this game with 315 combined yards and 5 offensive TDs. He caught 5 of 6 throws and took all to the endzone but one which was still a first down. Cueva had one of the best rookie debuts with 183 yards for a TD and 6 first downs. Jimmy had 106 yards for 3 TDs and 3 first downs - not bad for a guy who hadn't been out to play for months. Chenault, Matta, Mike, and Day also all had TDs.

With his Pick-Six, Jesse is the defensive leader again this week. He aslo had a defensed pass and another pick. Hoppe had 3 defensed passes. Day had a pick and a defensed pass. Andre had 2 big sacks. Adam was the flag leader with 9 as well as 2 defensed passes.
