Wow, even with 2 picks, Nick had a huge day with a 62.07% completion percentage, 4 TDs and 262 yards. You can discount one of the picks a bit because Travis hit Nick's arm during the throw (not to take anything away from Cain who still had to go up and make the catch). Cain and Leo were not helped by 4 drops by their players (Adam owes Leo, particularly accounting for both dropped passes).

Canadian leads receivers with 80 yards. Cain had 85 yards but 29 came on rushes while he was QB. David also had a huge day with 77 yards and a TD. Our TD leader today was Jeremy with 2 and 45 yards. Had to also like Mark with 42 yards and a TD. Brecht had the one huge play that with another smaller catch was worth a total of 56 yards.

If it weren't for 2 sacks, Adam's day would have been a total loss. Cain had 2 picks. Canadian, Street, and Travis each had a defensed pass (Travis also having a sack). Curtis came up big for yellow with 4 defensed passes 2 of which probably saved TDs. Jeremy had a pick and a sack.

MVP - There wasn't a single dominant performance today (at least not one on both offense and defense). Jeremy had the 2 TDs, a pick, a sack and was so dangerous as safety that Red had to account for him on every play. However, the bigger reason that Yellow won the game, in my opinion, was Nick's performance. 60% completion is huge in any game but in a 9 on 9 game, that's big time play, especially with 262 yards passsing and 14.56 average yards. Congrats to Nick.

Street's 50% completion rating was pretty darn nice, particulary since he had receivers drop 2 of his passes. 4 TDs and only one pick are pretty nice too. Nick had some problems with the ball going to the other team but he still finished with 290 yards. The 3 sacks show you how much pressure he was under.

Even if you take away Ray's 72 yarder, he still would have had nearly 100 yards! 2 TDs were also nice. We actually had 2 guys with more than 100 yards. Canadian had 109 yards on 4 catches and 2 rushes. Jesse had 88 yards and a TD. Curtis had 81 yards and a TD. Adam demonstrated why he likes smaller games with 79 yards and 2 TDs. Travis may not have had the yards but they kept taking him into the endzone with 3 TDs. Even in a game with only 12 players, 3 TDs is a big deal.

Canadian had 4 defensed pases and a pick. Street had 1 defensed pass, a sack, and 2 picks (one returned for a TD). Day had a pick, a defensed pass and a sack. Jesse had 3 defensed passes and Barry had 2 defensed passes and 2 picks. Normally flags aren've really thought of as a big stat but Ray had 11 (and no, they we're all from "his man"). To put it in perspective, the rest of the red team put together only had 9 flags.


MVP: I know that people hate it when I give the award to a player on the losing team but my idea of MVP it first goes to the player with the most dominating performance. The guy who was totally on and who was simply unstoppable. By that standard, the award goes to Ray. His 166 yards of offense with 2 TDs and flying around getting flags like he was huge. So many of his catches were in double coverage and he still came up with them. Congrats to Ray. Had Ray not had merely an average day, the award would have gone to Street or Travis.

In a game this big, anything over 40 yards rushing/receiving is pretty good. With taht in mind, I highlight 3 players for Red - Adam with 49 yards on 3 catches, Ray with 48 yards on 3 catches, and the Curtis with 41 yards and a TD on 3 catches. Yellow's leaders include Nick with 41 yards on the ground and Jimmy who eclipsed all receivers on the day with 79 combined yards.

Not surprisingly in a game this big, there are a lot of defensive performances to highlight. Burlseon with 3 flags, a defensed pass that led to a pick and had a pick himself. Ray had identical numbers and also returned his pick for a TD. Canadian had 3 flags and a pick. Chris had a pick and a sack. Curtis' debut was impressive with 4 flas, a defensed pass, and a pick.

Chenault had 4 flags, a defensed pass and a sack. Ethan with 3 flags and a sack. Levonce had a flag, a pass defensed, and a pick and was a terror on the rush. Louis had 5 flags. Mark had 6 flags and 2 sacks.

MVP: This week's winner is Ray who had nice games on both offense and defense.
