Awards:
This was really tough. Same two players were the top contenders for all there awards. Canadian had 134 combined yards on 7 receptions. 2 went for TDs and 4 went for 1st downs. So 6 of 7 catches were all key plays. Canadian also had 3 defensed passes (including the game ender) and a pick and run back that gave Red the ball on the 5 and set up Red's final score. Nick meanwhile threw for 284 yards and 5 TDs with only 1 pick and 1 sack. His completion percentage was over 40% and would have been nearly 48% if not for three drops. On defense, Nick started Yellow's collapse with the first 2 picks - remember that up until that first pick, the game was tied at 3.

So as odd as this is, I'm giving the MVP to Nick in part because although Canadian had a huge day as a receiver, Mark and Day also had big games with 85 yards/2TDs and 74 yards/1TD, respectively so he was having good success regardless of who he was throwing to (plus Nick had 2 fielded punts). However (here's the odd part), since Canadian turned in the next best performances on both Offense and Defense, he gets both awards. I looked at other players but the only one who challenged him for Offensive player of the game was Jesse with 106 yards, 2 TDs and 2 first downs on 5 catches (which only outmatched Canadian's performance on yards per catch). Zieser made a number of big plays on defense with 3 defensed passes but that too was less than Canadian's 3 passes defensed and 1 pick.
