Canadian 1 0 2 50.00% 11 0 0 0 0 66.67

What's funny is that before the game, Street told me that he was tired of "these 13 or 14 completion games, I want to get back in the 20s" - well he did that this week and averaged 20 yards per completion - it's unfortunate that the picks had to mar his performance, particularly when most of them were not his fault or even spectactular play by the Red defense.

Canadian may not have cracked 100 yards this week but he did get 7 catches for 83 yards, 2 TDs, and a 1st down.

I wouldn't say this if one of the Red players hadn't said this to me after the game: "sometimes it's better to be lucky than good." Now, I'm not saying that Red played a bad game because they didn't at all and they made some terrific plays. However, normally the team that applies more pressure to the opposing QB and protects their own QB wins the game - that's one of the things I like about our game because that's what happens in pro games. However this week, despite Cain being being on the run constantly and throwing under tons of pressure and Street having better protection, Red won the game.

Regardless of whether there was some luck involved, Yellow made some mistakes that Red capitalized on and that's why games are decided by score and not stats. I'm not happy to have lost but I am happy to have played and I hope everyone else enjoyed the game as much as I did.

Awards:

MVP - Treadaway

Offensive Player of the Game - Paul

Defensive Player of the Game - Canadian

I think your characterization of a few plays was very favorable to yellow. We forced a few of those mistakes. We had a lot more pressures than I think you credited us for as well.

Cain had a great game at QB given the strength of your d-line -- Red had a clear edge there. Our d-line was also seriously downgraded when Curtis & Leo both got injured about half way through the game.

I did think it was the most balanced game we've had in awhile.

I definitely think it was a balanced game and I'm sorry if some of my notes were unbalanced.
I certainly don't think that Yellow deserved to win or that Yellow was the better team.

However, 2 of the picks were not forced - one was the receiver giving up on a route and another should have been called for PI but I take too long to decide when someone fouls me on a route (which is odd, because when I'm rushing and held, I say something about it right away if it made a difference and if it didn't I tell the guy one on one anyway as a heads up for next time).

Yellow did make one big mistake and that was going for it on 4th an 1 from the 19 at the beginning of the game. That cost yellow the game 2 weeks ago and might have been the difference in this game. People can disagree with me about it but I'm not seeing the wisdom in going for it inside the 20 unless it's the only way to win. Giving up the ball inside the 20 is too big a killer. Yellow made other mistakes too (bad routes, picking up the wrong rusher, etc.) so I don't mean to come across Yellow's shit didn't stink. Sorry if it did.

Yeah I don't understand going for it early either, especially when there is little/no wind.
